Prepare the Surface:
The surface requires to be smooth, flat and release from all categories of contamination including dust, oil & grease, and rust. Where the substrate material is concrete or metal it could then become necessary to remove dirt or create some roughness on the surface to improve anchor strength.
Mixing:
CreteCoat 440 is a two-package system, it means that base resin and hardener should be blended One hundred percent. The mixing ratio should measure the correct chemical reaction that should be recommended by the manufacturer. Usually the ratio you are given is in volume (4:1 base to hardener).
Application:
The coating can best be applied by conventional spray equipment, brush, and roller. While using a spray it is the easiest and fastest method to apply especially when working with large area projects that require a uniform and consistent coat layer.
Drying & Curing:
Subsequent to the Cretaceous CreteCoat 440 has a comparatively short drying period associated with touch-timed eventualities (preferably within fifteen to thirty minutes). But for a complete curing there can be a couple of hours up to 24hrs especially when thick coat of paint was applied and the condition of the environment.
Second Coat (Optional):
As a rule, if getting the optimum protection and the highest quality of the surface it is possible to apply the second coat when the first one is already completely dry.
